Skymo is a free card game you play in your browser with 2 to 8 players, in real time. No download, no install, and no account unless you want one. A game lasts about ten minutes.
Skymo is built and run by Maxent Rouault, an independent developer based in France. There is no company behind it and no team: one person writes the code, draws the screens, reads the support form and answers on Discord. That is also why the game ships in French and English only, and why features arrive one at a time rather than in batches.
Playing cards with friends who live somewhere else usually means an app store, an account, and a lobby covered in banners. Skymo was built as the opposite: you send a link, your friends type a code, and the game starts. The rest follows from that. The rules are adjustable because every table plays a little differently, and a player who loses connection can rejoin the round in progress, because a dropped connection should not end the evening.
Skymo is free to play. There is no paywall, no in-app purchase, no energy bar and no premium deck. An account is optional and exists only so your stats, your friends and your games follow you from your phone to your laptop. Running costs are covered by the developer, which is the honest answer to why the game stays small and simple.
Bugs, ideas and complaints are all welcome. The support form is the fastest route, and the Discord server is where new versions are announced first.
